Novell is seeking a Intern to join the Identity and Security Management Business Team. The primary responsibility will be assisting Software Engineers in their testing and configuration of both software and hardware. This position will require helping maintain lab equipment/infrastructure. They will need to have a strong understanding of both Linux and Windows Administration as well as Virtual Machine experience. There efforts may also include writing Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Case execution.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, EET, MIS or equivalent.

Basic programming skills in Java and scripting languages (JavaScript, VBScript, Ruby, etc).

PC architecture knowledge and troubleshooting experience.

Basic knowledge with communication protocols such as LDAP, TCP/IP, and HTTP

Ability to work independently as well as on a team

Novell is seeking two talented interns to join the Identity and Security Management Business Team. The primary responsibilities include assisting Software Engineers in their testing and configuration of both software and hardware. Purpose/Job Summary: Provide assistance to Automation Engineers by coding, scripting, etc. automation to test Novell products.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write code, scripts, etc. using various programming and scripting languages (Python, JAVA, C++).
- Help set up and support test environments.
- Install OES, NetWare, Linux, and Windows OS’s.
- Troubleshoot network and hardware problems.
- Accept other assignments as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Working towards degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or other technical field.
- Proficiency in computer software troubleshooting.
- Knowledge and experience with several different operating systems including: Linux, NetWare, and Windows.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills.
- Excellent team player: flexible, responsive, and customer-focused.

Preferred Skills:
- Good understanding of Novell products, solutions, and internal processes and operations.
- Programming skills; C, C++, JAVA, struts, database, hibernate, scripting languages, web design, Python
- Must be self motivated, willing to learn, dependable.
