Gross-Profit, or GP$/hr, is the difference left to the recruiting agency or service between the bill-rate (charged to the client), and the burden, which are all other employee-related expenses (pay-rate, taxes, insurances, etc).

In accounting terms, this is revenue less cost-of-services-provided. Other costs are deducted from this Gross Profit to result in Net Profit (the bottom-line).
