Position: Front-End Web Developer

Job Description

FamilyLink.comWe are looking to hire 2-3 front end developers to work on projects with FamilyLink.com. Candidates must have 3-5 years of proven experience and extensive knowledge of XHTML standards, CSS, AJAX, JSON, JavaScript, and the jQuery JS library. Must have the ability to work quickly, and still produce professional results. Will work in coordination with UI designers, backend programmers, Q/A testers, and other development employees.

Requirements
- expert in HTML, XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery
- experience working with PHP
- experience working with templating systems such as Smarty
- being a ninja would be nice too

Location
We prefer to hire individuals close to our Provo office, or in the San Francisco Bay area, but won’t turn away rock star candidates who have a proven ability to work remotely.

Position: Senior Web Engineer

Job Description
FamilyLink.comWe are looking to hire Senior Web Engineers to work on projects with FamilyLink.com. Candidates must have 5-10 years of proven, real-world experience building highly-available/scalable web applications. The right person will have proven experience solving complex software engineering problems, and proven intelligence based on deep understanding of Computer Science theory and practical application.  Software architecture experience is OK, but active programming is required for this role.

Requirements
- Good experience building social networking applications
- Solid skills with Python, PHP, Ruby, or another web language
- Several years of large systems software design and development experience
- BS degree in Computer Science required. MS preferred.
- Passionate about social and “apps” space (such as iPhone, twitter, facebook, Android, etc.)
- Experience with Linux/Unix, MySQL/Postgres, and Apache.
- Data Mining experience preferred (but not required)

Work Location Details:
- We are seeking people who can work with us in our Palo Alto or Utah offices, but the right person can work from anywhere.

Hiring: PHP Developer with Ad Network Experience – FamilyLink.com

Job Description

We are looking to hire a PHP/LAMP developer to help build our Admazing system and other awesome social networking tools. Candidates must have 2-5+ years of proven, real-world experience building LAMP-based web applications. The right person will have the ability to jump right into our dynamic fast-paced team and contribute from day one. This person will be the first developer on this team (though, since we’re a software startup, there’s plenty of other developers on the payroll). The Admazing system is an advertising network that displays highly-targeted, interactive ads. The system must have ability to collect data submitted through ads and/or route clicks to proper destinations.

Requirements

  • Excellent PHP5 and LAMP-stack web development skills.
  • Good, analytical ability. Proven troubleshooter and problem-solver.
  • Willing to support “Admazing” ad network programming and provide programming support to other social networking web applications being built.
  • Proven experience building and scaling highly-available websites handling 200 million + monthly advertising impressions.
