Fusion-io is seeking a SDK Technical Product Manager in Salt Lake City, UT. The ioMemory SDK is the first API family in the marketplace to offer direct programmatic access to flash
memory. This Technical Product Manager position will be on the forefront of working with industry early adopters in tuning and shaping SDK APIs, working jointly with Fusion-io software development architects.
-Develop a community of leading-edge application developers intent on changing traditional I/O persistence methods
-Confidently interact with some of the industry’s brightest software architects to help establish development community adoption in a rapidly emerging market
-Co-design new ioMemory SDK APIs with Fusion-io software development architects
-Provide API support to early-access development partners
-Blog and speak to developer audiences to promote the ioMemory SDK and new I/O persistence methods
-Identify, document, and prioritize future API features and capabilities
-Provide SDK developer support training to Fusion-io customer support and selected field SEs
-Become a recognized software architecture expert on new forms of persistence to non-volatile memory mediums
-5+ years experience developing system and server-side software
-2+ years experience in customer-facing roles
-Appetite and energy to help revolutionize application development I/O methods
-Solid knowledge of enterprise data centers, including databases, servers, high-end storage, and networking
-Bachelors or higher college/graduate degree
-Good communication skills
-Passion for teaching new software development approaches
-Strong work ethic, proven record of rejecting setbacks, and enthusiastic presence to reach ambitious goals
