Fusion-io is seeking a solid-state-storage technologist in Salt Lake City, Utah. The technologist will be a highly experienced computer engineer in the Fusion-io Engineering organization with responsibility for evangelizing technology, standards development and systems engineering. This is a highly visible role within Fusion-io, and as such entails regular communication with Fusion-io’s Senior Management Team and effective collaboration across engineering, product planning and marketing functions.
Representing Fusion-io in various standards bodies
Be an active contributor to the design and development of Fusion-io products
Some travel will be required, but this is secondary to strong inter-personal, networking and communication skills and both the ability and confidence to engage with key stakeholders and make a difference
Thoroughly versed in solid-state-storage technology
Demonstrated success in standards work
Solid Engineering skills are a must
Additional skills in the area of performance engineering, system simulation and modeling, application integration and storage and memory sub-system architecture are highly desired
