Job Overview:   
The successful candidate will be part of a team
working closely within all areas of the Novell Services Organization
(Consulting, Support, Training) to implement, customize and maintain
systems, tools and applications that support strategic business
initiatives.  This person will be responsible for providing application
development and problem solving support for the various Services
systems, applications and their supporting technical environments.

Duties
and Responsibilities:
- Work with management, project management
and internal customers to provide development/technical services in
connection with enhancement requests and projects involving Services
tools applications
- Work as part of a Development Team to evolve and
improve the systems that enable key Novell business processes

Provide system support by troubleshooting reported problems, developing,
documenting and implementing solutions
- Respond to bugs and
enhancement requests in a timely fashion, troubleshooting, resolving,
implementing and documenting solution/fix
- Complete development
assignments for enhancements and projects on time, on budget and to
specifications
- Provide ongoing communication and status of work
assignments to management and project management
- Build and enhance
relationships of trust within the Services organization and other
organizations within Novell upon whom Services is dependent

Advocate internal and external customer requests and offer innovative
ideas to improve product quality

Minimum
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
or equivalent technical experience
- 5 years experience with
application development
- Familiar and flexible with various software
development methodologies and programs
- Results oriented,
analytical, exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to
detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze complex
issues, prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
