Considering Dumping Disqus

It sucks because I heart what Disqus is doing, and I get no spam, but lots of my comments seem to be GONE and there really isn’t more of a discussion because of it.

WHAT CAN I DO DIFFERENT?

  1. Hi there, I'm from Disqus. What comments are disappearing?

  2. Be sure to integrate with FriendFeed - you'll get much more discussion.

  6. When you add your Disqus feed to FriendFeed, your friends see it. Every time someone comments on your blog and they have a FriendFeed account, their comment gets published to FriendFeed also for all their friends to see. If anyone likes or comments that on FriendFeed, it goes back up to the top again. In fact, this comment is getting published to near 700 people following me on FriendFeed because I am feeding my Disqus comments into FriendFeed. Disqus gives your readers the ability to own their own comments, while at the same time promoting your blog even more.

Also, check out my post on this awhile back (but you guys probably read this because you subscribe to my blog, right?):

  7. Add to my other comments that you should keep Disqus if anything because Daniel's an awesome guy, in person and online. ;-)

  9. This service made no sense and I was trying to figure out how he was doing it. Now I know why. Twitter only allows a certain number of tweets returned, therefore this service won’t work for everyone (including me!).
