Wordpress, the blog software I am using, includes a special tag that tells search engines not to follow the links that show up in comments and trackbacks. There’s some complicated reasons why, and some arguments that it doesn’t work anyway…
So, I have joined the “do follow” movement. This means that I have added code to my blog that enables links in comments and trackbacks to GET followed by google, yahoo and other search engines. Why? Why not? I am using multiple layers of comment-spam protection anyway, so the comments that make it through are legit… so therefore I all my commenters deserve a little SEO juice.
So, here you go… comment and I will follow you. Cheers.
