Technical Sales Evangelist/Engineer — US-UT-Utah County
SOS Technical is assisting our client in locating a Technical Sales Evangelist/Engineer.
Basic Job Duties: Assist their existing sales force in working with potential customers in presenting demos, creating technical proposals, “whiteboarding” solutions, and researching technical solutions. You will have daily interaction between both sales people and external clients/potential customers. This position is a problem-solver’s dream.
Other Items to note:
- A software-development background is ideal. HTML, JavaScript will be needed, plus some other programming a plus, especially SQL and understanding of various databases and other data-storage formats both structured and unstructured (RDBMS, XML, csv, flat-file, etc, etc)
- Presentations will often occur via web-conference. Proven experience with such tools is preferred.
- Travel is a must, both for tradeshows and client meetings. International travel will be as likely as domestic. Candidate must have ability to travel between 25% to 50% of the time, bursting as high as 75% as customer demand fluctuates.
- Foreign Language skills are preferred. Any language helpful, though Spanish, German, or Asian languages are in high demand.
The right candidate for this job will walk the fine line between technology and sales in that you must have deep technical experience and ability to speak both to the most-technical people both internally and externally to ensure that the technologies can work together, but you must also carry adequate communication skill and deal-flow experience to articulate the solutions, and promote the company, to everyone from C-Level executives on down.
