One of my clients in Salt Lake City uses our service to find great Engineers and Technicians for their projects. They are a small company, though, and so we have a very unique ability to serve them — they don’t want to hire the people we contract for them. However, they treat our contractors just like employees, and they intend to work with them for a very long time.
For the company, however, they actually prefer to keep their contractors off the payroll. It’s simply smarter for them at this point to reduce the overhead and liabilities associated with employees by contracting them through my office.
In the past, they had tried to work out 1099 agreements with these contractors, but they began to see several legal risks and began looking for other alternatives.
With SOS Technical, they have been able to find and contract services for several talented people, including sending one of their own contractors our way with the instruction to “payroll them“, saving everyone liability and risk.
Could we help your company deal with co-employment or other employment risks? We might. Give me a call and I would love to answer any questions you have!
