Need a New Ladder?

I had heard buzz about TheLadders, but until I was recently looking for a new way to market one of my jobs, I didn’t spend time actually checking it out. So far, though, I am very pleased with it, and we’re getting a few good resumes from our posting on there. Nice. My favorite thing, at this point, is that it is so segmented–very high-end jobs only. So, I won’t be posting everything there, of course, but it is defintely a bookmark if you’re looking for the next big gig.

In the same niche as Sologig or Guru, in that they’re geared toward the talent, not the company, TheLadders is on my watchlist, along with Jobster and HireVue, (thanks for the connection, Paul) for new technologies that will fuel the next economic goldrush we’re gearing up for.

TheLadders.com publishes the largest collection of online job listings and information for professionals seeking employment with incomes from $100K to $500K. The company’s tools, content and community help empower individuals to find the jobs most important to them and to direct their resumes to prospective employers. TheLadders.com network of web-based products includes SalesLadder.com, FinanceLadder.com, MktgLadder.com, UpLadder.com and RecruitLadder.com. The Company was founded by former Senior Executives from HotJobs.com to service the needs of overachievers everywhere. Sign up for the weekly job newsletter today and search over 16,000 job listings per month!

But just like the last one brought an incredible, vast array of new technologies, I think the next one will be fueled by technologies that encourage, or closely replicate, the human interaction we all rely on and respond to. If I were left to predict, the next killer apps for job-seeking, although there will be plenty of technology involved, to the end-users they will be High-TOUCH, and not so much High-Tech. [...]
